Now back to my one shot film....

I didn't really know what my film was going to be about at first. But I thought about doing a scene which told different stories and which lead to different paths. I thought this would be exciting and different. Also it would catch the audiences attention! However when i did manage to complete the film. i was finding it hard to find a music track or beat that went with my film. This was a tricky obstacle that I faced because I wanted a song/beat that lead to different paths into the film!

Afterwards I heard my sister's friends song which he produced recently and thought it went really well with my video. His song is about a guy wanting to make ammends with his ex-girlfriend. As a result I thought this track fitted perfectly with my video because when I showed my one shot film to my flat mates without the song, they sensed the film's genre! This gave me great confidence into knowing which direction i was heading towards.

After deciding my storyline, I decided the film was going to be about a guy making mistakes in his life where he blames himself and not others (I did this to create a different aproach).
I called the film; 'Sometimes I know' because i wanted it to go with the music track and the storyline. (Character's blamining himself for the mistakes he made)

For Example: Lyrics; (CHORUS)

Sometimes I know
Sometimes I see
Sometimes I do
Sometimes I leave
I'm tryna get by but I just don't know
Tryna let it go but it won't flow
Sometimes I know, it's my fault you know

(All these words are describing and creating the character's thoughts and feelings. This makes it look interesting because it looks catchy and emotionally very effective)! Also just by hearing the music track alone you can sense what the films gonig to be about. Therefore I thought it successfully worked really well together.

I wanted to create a scene, where the audience can visualize their own feelings and thoughts! Also I wanted to create an unusual atmosphere, to make it look interesting and bring into existence a suspense feeling in the video.

The film has many high-angle shots, i did this purposely because i wanted the audience to guess the genre without focusing the onto the music track itself! I thought this looked engaging and clever.
I came across few problems whilst shooting the film such as, camera movements and lighting. However we dealt with this this good co-ordination skills and group work. If i was to redo the shooting of my film again i wood probably change the lighting effects because i think better lighting would have made the film look more extravagant. Also maybe i would have experimented more with different type of camera angle shots. I think abit more of panning would have made it more successful, however i think the bright green font on my -shirt made the film colours look very curious. I tried to make the film look simple, by making it slow paste and made sure the panning and any other camera movements was done in a slow motion.
