Client Project - Mock up design 3

The aim of this design is to add simplicity. Using folidng rollover boxes, the design would look unique and easy to navigate around.

Client Project - Mock up design 2

This design was influenced by a magazine look a like theme. Where the buttons would pop up a slideshow image, when the user clicked onto the link. I decided to create this design because I wanted to create something that linked the audience with 'Facebook'.

PRP - Artefact 1

The ‘Restaurant Booking Forms’ survey was created and designed in ‘Survey Monkey’, an online survey tool that asks questions, gets answers and analyses results.

I sent out my survey to 50 to 60 people on my ‘Facebook’, from ages 18 to 40 plus. In which I thought would be a fair survey as it being a mixed age group.

The responses I had received were very interesting as it showed surprising results. i.e. Asked whether the look of graphics helps you choose a restaurant when you book online? i.e. Colour Scheme, Layout, Promotions. A huge percentage had replied back saying ‘Yes’. As a result this showed me the target audiences were easily influenced when booking online.

I was pleased with overall design, as I thought it looked simple, sophisticated and right for the target audience. However I feel there could have been more closed questions used in the survey.

I was happy with the survey being my first artifact, as it allowed me to collect the customers opinions about the ‘Restaurant Booking Forms’, in which it gave me a clear direction for my second artefact. In addition the survey did not take long to create as I had a clear idea of the questions I wanted to ask which were adequate for my survey.

I feel that the survey works because it gives me clear answers. Additionally the last question of the survey; ‘Please state any relevant information, in which you think can improve the online booking form’ showed me a variety of customer opinions and ideas. That was positive and negative.

Client Project - Mock up design 1

Mock up design for bar Sirius. The text and the background layout add sophistication to the design. The design fits in with today’s web market and I feel my creativity skills have enhanced with this project so far.

Client Project - Background Experiments

Few background design ideas for the website template.

My background design experiment. The layout was created in Photoshop, where I could show off my skills and strengths to the client.

Client Project - Website Themes and Ideas

Couple of bar websites, that are modern and currently updated with todays market. I aim to use a few ideas from these websites, in terms of colour scheme, layout and the way they promote themselves to the target audience.

Client Project - Wire Frames

Few brief frame ideas that I may mix and match further down the project. I feel all of these ideas are relevant to the client needs. I aim to show these wire frames to the client and take the next step forward into the project.

Client Project - Brief Description

My client for the project is going to be 'Bar Sirius'.

‘Bar Sirius’ is one of Leicester well known bar’s that has a mixed cultured fan base, from middle to upper class. Opened in April 2009, the bar has gone from strength to strength.

The bar holds student nights every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday which tends to be very successful.

Recently the bar has launched the ‘Tiger Style’ night, every Saturday. This has not caught every ones attention as expected. This is mainly due to the bar not having an official website, which has limited the online promotions and any other social media that would enhance the target audience.

The website needs to have links to online social networks such as Facebook and Twitter, which would boost the online interactivity and also promote the bar well.
