The ‘Restaurant Booking Forms’ survey was created and designed in ‘Survey Monkey’, an online survey tool that asks questions, gets answers and analyses results.
I sent out my survey to 50 to 60 people on my ‘Facebook’, from ages 18 to 40 plus. In which I thought would be a fair survey as it being a mixed age group.
The responses I had received were very interesting as it showed surprising results. i.e. Asked whether the look of graphics helps you choose a restaurant when you book online? i.e. Colour Scheme, Layout, Promotions. A huge percentage had replied back saying ‘Yes’. As a result this showed me the target audiences were easily influenced when booking online.
I was pleased with overall design, as I thought it looked simple, sophisticated and right for the target audience. However I feel there could have been more closed questions used in the survey.
I was happy with the survey being my first artifact, as it allowed me to collect the customers opinions about the ‘Restaurant Booking Forms’, in which it gave me a clear direction for my second artefact. In addition the survey did not take long to create as I had a clear idea of the questions I wanted to ask which were adequate for my survey.
I feel that the survey works because it gives me clear answers. Additionally the last question of the survey; ‘Please state any relevant information, in which you think can improve the online booking form’ showed me a variety of customer opinions and ideas. That was positive and negative.
